The Diversity Worskhop "Obesity and Physical Activity among Minority Populations" took place on Monday, June 13, 2005. 150 participants registered from institutions as diverse as East Boston Community Health Center, Joslin Diabetes Center, Massachusetts Public Health Association, Rhode Island Department of Health, Boston Medical Center, Sinai Urban Health Institute in Chicago etc.

The workshop included six individual presentations and a panel discussion: "How can we design culturally accepted behavioral interventions to increase physical activity and improve nutrition among minorities: methodology, successes and challenges?
